Star and Crescent Earrings

These earrings are a different take on the classic donut earrings. Originally a symbol of the Ottoman Empire, the star and crescent has come to be a traditional symbol of Islam. The symbol can be found pictured either with the star pointing out of the crescent (as found on the Algerian and Pakistani flags) or pointing into the crescent (as in the Turkish or Tunisian flags).
